Capital Contractors Icon James Lombardo Retires after 39 years of Service and Leadership, and is Presented with the Company’s Lifetime Achievement AwardMarch 21, 2016, Islandia, NY Capital Contractors Inc. today announced the retirement of James Lombardo. For the past 39 years, Jimmy served as a stable and guiding cornerstone in the growth and evolution of the Capital Contractors family. Hired by the company’s founder, Al Kaplan, Jimmy carried his vision and determination from the organization’s beginning and throughout its long history of growth. Jimmy began his career with Capital as the founding manager of the Northern New Jersey office. Over the next 25 years, Capital expanded its local office coverage throughout the country, and Jimmy was an integral part of that success. Jimmy and his team in New Jersey set the expectations for success, while offering guidance and mentorship to all managers and salespeople across the company. Jimmy’s enthusiasm and wisdom was a key support mechanism in the transformation of the Capital Contractors model and structure that exists today. Jimmy then joined the corporate support team in the mid 2000’s as he continued his mentorship of all local office teams. Jimmy and his wife Pam are now enjoying the Florida sun.
As a small token of thanks for his years of service, the company sent Jimmy to the NY Yankees behind-the-scenes Inside Experience at their Spring Training Facility in Tampa, Florida. A long time Yankees fan, Jimmy said “This was something we always wanted to do, and we are so very grateful for your thoughtfulness to make it happen. We had a blast and thank you for a gift that will last forever.” The entire Capital Team salutes and thanks Mr. Lombardo for all he has done for the organization, and will be presenting him with the Capital Lifetime Achievement Award.
